We are offering the following Urine tests:

  • Urine Test 13 Parameters, automated, quantitative results.

  • Urine sediment, microscopically examination.

  • Urine pregnancy screening (hCG) 10 IU detection limit.

Urine chemistry testing will assist in the diagnosis of diseases such as diabetes, liver diseases, haemolytic diseases, urogenital and kidney function, infections and disorders and metabolic abnormalities.

In Afghanistan, the urine stripe tests results are interpreted by visual inspection of the test stripe by the Laboratory technician eye.

This can lead to false and not standardized results as a different lab. technician would report from the same test stripe different results.

We are using urine test stripes and urine analyzers from HUMAN Diagnostics in Germany.

The Combilyzer13 is an automatic urine test strip reader and measures 13 different biochemical components in the urine including Microalbumin and Creatinine Levels.

Microalbumin in urine indicates kidney damage and is found in patients with diabetes and high blood pressure and heart diseases.

The Combilyzer 13 provides:

  • Latest technology using an advances cold light reflection.

  • High European quality standards of Analyser and test stripes ensure accurate results.

  • Daily calibration.

  • Standardized results.

  • Detection of 13 different biochemical components in urine:

  • Glucose

  • Ketones

  • pH

  • Protein

  • Nitrite

  • Specific gravity

  • Bilirubin

  • Urobilinogen

  • Blood

  • Leukocytes

  • Ascorbic acid

  • Microalbumin

  • Creatinine

  • Calculated albumin-to-creatinine ratio

Microalbumin to Creatinine Ratio

Microalbumin:

Urinary excretion of microalbumin indicates kidney damage, often found in patients with diabetes and hypertension.

Microalbumin is a recognized risk factor for progression of kidney and cardiovascular diseases.

Parallel measurement of creatinine and albumin to diagnose microalbuminuria makes the collection of 24-hour urine samples obsolete, as the albumin-to-creatinine ratio allows to correct variations in diuresis.
